What is the The Kids Kloset Loyalty Program all about?

At The Kids Kloset, we value our customers. We created the loyalty program to give back to those who buy on our site and trade for points. If you sign up to become a loyalty customer, you will receive points every time you trade clothing. You can save those points up and use them toward purchases online. In addition, we also send our loyalty customers periodic promotions and discounts.

Where does your clothing come from?

The Kids Kloset accepts trades of new and gently-loved clothing from families who no longer need it in exchange for Loyalty Points. Most of the clothing is in Excellent Used Condition (EUC). If you are interested in trading at The Kids Kloset, please visit our "Trading At The Kids Kloset" page for information on what items we accept. We also accept donations.

What does your star system mean?

The Kids Kloset checks over each piece of clothing we receive to make sure it meets our very strict standards for quality. We then label each piece of clothing we sell online as either 5-star, 4-star or 3-star.

  • ★★★★★ 5-Star means the clothing has never been worn, so it is either New with Tags (NWT) or New without Tags (NWOT).
  • ★★★★☆ 4-Star means the clothing is in Excellent Used Condition (EUC)
  • ★★★☆☆ 3-Star means the clothing is in Very Good Used Condition (VGUC) but may have a minor blemish or minor signs of wear. Otherwise, the piece is still in very good condition.

What if I am unhappy with the condition of the clothing I purchase?

We inspect each item of clothing very carefully but, unfortunately, every once in a while a minor blemish or defect might get through. If you are ever unhappy with your purchase, please send us a message through the "Contact Us" option at the bottom of our homepage, let us know you had a problem and we’ll work with you to fix it. Although we do not do returns or refunds due to the nature of our business, we can provide many other options to satisfy our customers. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to all our customers.

How do you group your different sizing categories?

As all parents know, sizing can be confusing and the size that fits your child will depend on which brand you buy. Not all 2T clothes fit the same way! At TheKidsKloset.ca, we’ve tried to help you as much as possible by allowing you to choose which sizes you’d like to see displayed by using our filters (the check boxes on the left hand side of the screen). Check off which sizes you want to see. We’ve also listed the brand name and size in the item description so you can make sure you know exactly what size you are buying before you purchase.

How many points will I earn on the items I trade at The Kids Kloset?

How much you earn with depend on the items, what size they are, and their brand. The points we give are determined based on the price we list the item. Please keep in mind, we do not guarantee we will accept everything that is brought in to us. We only take items we believe are in EXCELLENT USED CONDITION. Please do not bring us items you find that have stains, rips, tears, excessive wear, missing buttons, zippers that don’t work, out-of-style items, etc. We will not end up purchasing these items. That means they will not end up earning you any points. We reserve the right to block your account at any time if we frequently receive items that do not meet our standards.

I brought in items and believe I should have received more points than I did. What do I do?

We post the points to your account within 1-2 business days of reviewing your items. We will then keep any items we did not accept for up to 1 week from the day we posted the points to your account. We will then donate the items. If you are wondering how we determined your point amount or if there were items we did not take, please contact us within that time frame and we will gladly look back through your items to let you know why we did not take some of your items.

What do you do with the items you do not accept?

If we come across items that do not meet our standards, you will be notified by email. We will then keep those items for 1 week from the day we post your points to your account. If they are not picked up within that time frame, we will then donate the items to a local charity.

Are the clothes you sell pre-washed?

Unfortunately, we cannot take the time to wash all the items we sell in our store. Therefore, please make sure you wash all items before allowing your child to wear them. We do, however, ask that our consignors pre-wash their clothing before bringing it in to us. We inspect items closely to ensure they meet our standards and do not accept items that are dirty, smelly, have animal fur on them or are excessively wrinkled.

Can I buy from the website without becoming a loyalty member or trading at The Kids Kloset?

Certainly! Our store operates like any other online store – add items to your cart and then proceed to check out. We use PayPal for payment so you can pay using your credit card or through your PayPal account. We do recommend signing up with our loyalty program so you can earn points toward free products and so you can hear about special promotions that we offer exclusively for our loyalty program customers.

What items can I trade at The Kids Kloset?
